Encounter Iminent Toolbar – the Ways You’ve Been Looking for to Remove It

I'm not sure what it is. I found my PC abnormal and I checked all the items I could think up. Soon I found an imminent file in my program files. I've never seen that file. Is it malicious? Do I need to do something to protect my PC?

Iminent Toolbar often has a fellow with it

Iminent Toolbar is actually categorized as an adware which is designed to make money by distributing ads. You can also call it PUP (potentially unwanted program) for that's the essence of it. Different from other adwares, Iminent Toolbar has a fellow called search.iminent.com which is a browser hijacker. So when your PC was infected with Iminent Toolbar, the hijacker search.iminent.com would also come to you to lead you to some websites you don't want. Thus, to avoid further damage, you should remove the adware as soon as possible.

Where does the adware come from?

Adwares often camouflage themselves as useful online tools. So some people may lead the adware to their PCs themselves. However, Iminent Toolbar can also come without sign. Some malicious links of an unsafe website or hacked website may contain this adware. Bundled with freeware or shareware, you can't even notice it. That's the most common way that the adware uses to come to your PC. Nevertheless, you can avoid it during the installation only if you read all the items before you click "Next".

How does Iminent Toolbar make you crazy?

  • Your Internet connection acts slow. You'll find that it takes ages to open a new page.
  • With search.iminent.com, even if you type in the URL to search, you can't get to your pages.
  • Numerous pop-up ads and spam letters come to you to disturb your normal online life.
  • Your PC moves like a snail that you have no patient to wait for it.
  • All valuable information is collected for commercial purpose. You worry about your money in the E-bank account.
